I took the test for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I went in with very little study time. I have been working with VMware products for many years and wanted to see if I could pass it with little effort. I had just got done with my vSphere upgrades and felt confident. Turns out I needed some serious study time because I only got a 250 on the exam.
So I tuned to the forums here and got some excellent links to study from. I really liked the Simon Long study guides and practice exams (once you pass the VMware moc exam with 100% they do not let you take it again). I used that for a day or two before I took the test today. During the week I just went over PDF's.
I went in today and passed with a 413!
My thoughts on the test are just like everyone else. It is fooow shooowr harder than the VCP3 exam. Very challenging. One of my biggest pet peeves has to be questions surrounding vCenter, asking you to memorize what fields are in a particular tab. It is important to know, just wish I had a vCenter to log into during the exam! (wishful thinking).
