So after upgrading to VMware Fusion 6 I have been noticing serious slowness of the Mac after opening a Windows VM and leaving it running for a few hours to a day or so. The Mac process "mds" was taking all the CPU. There are some articles I found via Google mentioning this could have to do with Spotlight attempting to index the VM over and over, though the VM in question for me is a boot camp partition, so I'm not quite sure. I'm still trying to find the cause, but for now I've added my Documents/Virtual Machines/ folder to Spotlight's privacy setting so it won't index it. Just rebooted, we'll see how it goes. Anyone had any severe slowness issues like this with Mavericks/Fusion 6?
