Hello,
I like to know why do some of my VMs have a near zero .vmdk file and a flat.vmdk file which seems to be the actual disk size and other VMs have the normal .vmdk file as the actual disk size. I've tried to find some pattern to this but can't seem to see anything that would set them apart. I can have 2 near identical VMs meaning same OS with no snapshots on the same datastore on the same host and one will have the flat.vmdk file and the other will just have the .vmdk file.
Can anyone explain to me why this is as it's driving me crazy trying to make reason out of it?
