USB drive and High Availibility

I searched the forum for this but didn't find the exact answer, or maybe didn't know the right keywords to search on.  My basic question is: Will a VM in a HA cluster auto migrate if it has a USB thumb drive attached to it?

Detail:  We have 2 ESXI Hosts configured in HA cluster with around 12 servers total.  One of the servers has a thumb drive attached that it does daily back ups to.  I needed to do some maintenance yesterday and was manually migrating servers between hosts.  When I got to the machine with the thumb drive I got a 'stop' type message that essentially said that I couldn't continue until I unmounted the thumb drive.  No big deal when manually migrating stuff, but it got me thinking about what will happen when/if there is a failure on one of the hosts and the migration is automatic being that it is a HA cluster.

Thanks in advance for the answer.
